I was introduced to Sprint 0’s as an engineering requirement…
but discovered it’s actually hugely needed for PMs
Our jobs are fundamentally about de-risking product releases: gathering knowledge and insight to insure against product and market risks
A Sprint 0 gives us the ability to openly dialogue without having yet come to our own conclusions - admit and inventory our assumptions without committing to them as “this is right - I’m an expert!”
Inherently 3-in-a-box / trifecta: everybody’s together working on the same set of requirements/ideas/problems, can openly disagree
